Le Miroir

To love beauty is unwise, for time destroys it. In this world nothing lasts, everything changes, and the moment we start to live, we start to die

70's Simplicity

Have you ever just felt so excited about today that you couldn't fall asleep? Like you knew + planned several wonderful things to happen so that you were awake on pure happy adrenaline? Today I am going spring vintage shopping and I just have this feeling of finding some darling seventies girleen things... I hope I do!

These are a handful of wonderferul patterns that I found from this Etsy store. I usually avoid buying things online because I know the temptation is too great but this site is going to break me.

Wacky Shoe Cards

I was at the Discount Emporium today and I bought these cards for a dollar each. What occasion has to come into a person's life for someone to send them a card with a shoe on it? Congratulations for buying new shoes? Okay, well if anyone reading this bought some shoes and wants a card e-mail me at lauren.willmot@gmail.com and send me your address because I really don't know what do with these now that I have the images.

I find these little illustrations enchanting. Obviously these illustrators should be working for cobblers and producing the latest runway shoes. Who can resist humour based fashion aimed towards morbid older women?

Dame Darcy

Madeline von Foerster and Dame Darcy share a studio in New York. Can you imagine a more perfect pair of artists? Dame Darcy is known as a illustrator, writer, fine artist, musician, filmmaker, animator, and dollmaker. She's also worked with the coolest people ever (Alan Moore, Anna Sui, etc.). I've wanted her illustrated Jane Eyre for over a year now. She has a ridiculously cute etsy shop. Lets all look at her freakishly cute comic collaged shoes:

Aren't they darling? The last pair just kill me. So much want. I would love it if she made clothes and accessories all the time.
